Things I use: Coffee
I make coffee on a Rocket R58 Cinquantotto V1 Espresso Machine paired with a Niche Zero grinder. I use the naked portafilter with a VST Precision 20 gram basket.
I use a 58mm dosing funnel to go with the Niche Zero's dosing cup and I WDT with a cheapie distribution tool from AliExpress with a wooden handle (if I am feeling fancy, I will use my Normcore WDT Distribution Tool V3 that came with a stand) to break up any clumps. I then use a 58mm weighted distributor with a 3 blade arrangement like a fan to even out the grounds and tamp with a lovely Pullman 58mm tamper with Australian Jarrah wood on a cheapie tamping mat.
I can add a Normcore 58.5mm Puck Screen to the top of the puck if I feel like I'm seeing a lot of channelling. It lives in a Normcore Puck Screen Holder.
I steam Happy Happy Soy Boy soy milk in a Rhino Professional 360ml/12ox Milk Jug. I weigh on a pretty generic coffee scale following a 1:2 brew ratio. I watch my shot with a dollar store shot mirror because I couldn't (yet) justify a Normcore mirror.
On any given day, I'm typically using beans from one of the specialty coffee roasters in Melbourne: Maker, Veneziano, Industry Beans, or Inglewood. I prefer lighter roasts which tend to pair pretty well with Happy Happy Soy Boy.
I use some cheap tumbler glasses from Kmart because they fit nicely inbetween the portafilter and the scale.
